Summary As a Product Engineering Associate Manager , you will drive the product vision by bringing the voice of the customer into product decisions and shaping outcomes using a human-centered design approach. You will shape and manage the product roadmap and product backlog , ensure the product team delivers on client needs and wants, and validate ideas through continuous feedback loops to ensure learnings guide timely direction changes. What You’ll Do Own product vision through customer insight Gather, synthesize, and translate customer needs into clear product intent and direction. Champion a human-centered design approach across discovery and delivery. Shape and manage roadmap & backlog Define and maintain the product roadmap, including sequencing and prioritization. Manage the product backlog to ensure readiness, clarity, and alignment to customer and business value. Make tradeoffs using evidence (customer feedback, usage signals, delivery constraints). Ensure delivery of client value Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, engineering, UX, stakeholders) to ensure execution aligns with client outcomes—not just delivery activity. Track progress toward outcomes and adjust priorities as needed. Validate ideas through recurrent feedback loops Use iterative discovery, prototyping, testing, pilots, and/or structured user feedback to reduce risk and increase product-market/client fit. Incorporate learnings into roadmap updates and backlog refinements. Enable effective product execution Facilitate product planning, collaboration, and decision-making with relevant stakeholders. Support transparency through regular reporting on priorities, progress, and key learnings. Continuously improve ways of working Encourage an experimentation mindset and continuous improvement in product discovery and delivery practices.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Proven experience in product management or product ownership (digital/technology products preferred) Strong capability in customer research / customer insight and translating insights into product decisions Demonstrated ability to manage roadmaps and backlogs with clear prioritization rationale Familiarity with human-centered design methods and iterative validation (e.g., usability testing, discovery workshops, pilot testing) Experience working in Agile / iterative delivery environments with cross-functional teams Strong communication skills to align stakeholders and drive product decisions Preferred Experience leading or coordinating product work across engineering and design functions Knowledge of product discovery frameworks and evidence-based decision-making (metrics, adoption, learning outcomes) Exposure to product experimentation practices (A/B testing, prototypes, iterative release strategies) Background in product analytics, customer journey mapping, or service design How You’ll Be Successful Customer needs are consistently reflected in priorities and delivery outcomes Roadmap and backlog remain relevant due to timely validation and learning cycles The product team delivers measurable client value and adapts based on evidence Equality & Inclusion Accenture is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
