Job Overview
Contributes to the development of organizational strategy, and supports in implementation of operational plans. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and manage the complete product development life cycle (from voice of customer, ideation, Design Conceptualization, Creation of product specifications, 3D designs, Prototyping, Serial tool build, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution & Sustenance till product end of life) HV Connectors & Terminals, HV relays, Charge Inlets and high voltage cable assemblies for automotive applications Identify and execute on expanding our product portfolio in key strategic areas through new technologies. Interfaces with customers in the development of specifications and technical refinements, which can be used to direct the development of new products or improvements to existing product. Build a deep understanding of market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the product engineering team and application engineering team. Introduce breakthrough technologies by partnering technically with our customers and with our TE Global competency centers to enhance business revenue & growth. Apply engineering best practice to reduce cost and sustain exiting products to meet customer’s cost targets. Travel to customer sites, gather VOC, perform testing, and/or perform troubleshooting activities. Performing design reviews and pre-validation assessments to ensure the safe and environmentally sound processes and designs Lead technical discussion and decision making with cross functional team To be a team member with the rest of the Functional and Operational Areas to assure the Campus Objectives Implement and execute plans for the VA/VE (Engineered Savings) team to gather highest level of gross margin improvements and monitoring the results. Supervise and balance the allocation of work across functional leads; review and provide performance feedback; mentor, develop and motivate them; oversee the implementation of talent development program at the engineering centers for all employees; recruit, motivate, reward and address employee grievances in order to achieve performance and retain talent Education and Knowledge
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Fluent in English, both oral and Witten. Good teamwork and willing to make
