Job summary

As a Payments Country Product Lead, Vice President – Nigeria in the Market Expansion team, you will lead the firm’s strategy, product capability, and footprint development in Nigeria. You will drive rollout and seamless implementation of Treasury Services offerings delivered to clients in Nigeria. You will ensure the country strategy is fit for purpose and aligned to local market practice, regulatory expectations, and product requirements. You will collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, service, technology, risk, compliance, and legal to deliver outcomes.

Job responsibilities

Lead Treasury Services product strategy through an end-to-end understanding of the Nigeria payments landscape and how clients use payments products Create business cases with detailed analysis of market conditions, the payments landscape, revenue opportunities, and proposed solutions Develop and deliver short-, medium-, and long-term strategies aligned to functional product strategies, including core cash, liquidity, access, and foreign exchange Design product operating activities for the market and adapt collateral, sales training, pricing, and request-for-proposal materials to resonate with target segments Maintain relationships with market regulators and supervisors, with insight into regulatory dialogue across the market Partner with product teams to support adherence to local regulations, controls frameworks, and governance approval processes Anticipate internal and external factors that impact governance and implement plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities Develop commercialization and communication plans for new solutions and drive footprint deepening and revenue growth through targeted commercialization Represent JP Morgan Chase at local industry meetings and forums, where appropriate Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Significant experience in the commercial payments industry in Nigeria, including knowledge of payment systems, banking operations, and financial technology Core product management expertise, including gathering customer insights, influencing strategy and positioning, building value propositions and messaging, and delivering go-to-market plans Advanced knowledge of risk management and controls, including local nuances and governance requirements Demonstrated strategic thinking and influencing skills at all levels, including change management and strategy management experience Strong leadership experience managing and motivating teams across diverse backgrounds and seniority levels Advanced communication, presentation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to different stakeholders Experience engaging with Nigerian industry and regulatory bodies and standard setters, with familiarity with local legislation impacting Treasury Services products
