Position
Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stress and Lifing Engineer to join our team, contributing to the ongoing reliability and safety of our products. As an early career analyst, you will support the structural assessment of static components such as casings, bearing supports, frames, mounts, and inlet guide vanes. Working closely with experienced team members, you will apply analytical techniques to evaluate components under complex loading conditions including thermal, pressure, and mechanical stresses. In this role, you will develop your expertise in stress and lifing analysis, gain hands-on experience through supported project work, and continue building your foundation in engineering fundamentals. What you will be doing
Conduct mechanical integrity, stress and lifing assessments using finite element analysis and other numerical models Specify and conduct mechanical experiments, for the purpose of underwriting designs, and validating analytical or empirical models Identify root cause and resolve problems through evaluative judgements and analysis Point of contact between the mechanical integrity discipline and other functions and customers Point of contact within a given engineering discipline and to share subject matter knowledge across the function Promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement (s of tools, processes and methods) both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, OR Master's degree in Engineering, OR PhD in Engineering In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Requirements: Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization Our vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
