The Radar Mechanical Design Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of some of the most innovative land-based and shipboard radars in the world. This includes phased array radar systems, electronic modules, pedestals, and power and cooling systems. The department comprises individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support. The Radar Mechanical Design Department is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer as the GhostEye Program Lead.   GhostEye is a multi-mission medium range sensor providing 360 deg surveillance in the LTAMDS Raytheon Technologies franchise. In this role, you will lead the GhostEye Program, reporting directly to the LTAMDS IPT Lead. You will be responsible for overseeing program execution across multiple products, ensuring alignment with challenging schedules while effectively planning, managing, and tracking cost and schedule performance. This onsite role will be based in Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA.

The GhostEye Program Lead oversee the scope, budget, and schedule for the overall development of the system.  This includes integrating the sub-products into a complete Radar Set product. Experience in leading a cross functional team including members from Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality through hardware development and production. Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing EVMS and Risk & Opportunity Management. Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking to cost and schedule The role requires close management of design completion while simultaneously balancing resulting performance with the ability to meet the customers critical schedule requirements. Regular review of program status including tracking and review by both Engineering Leadership and Program Leadership. Extensive knowledge of hardware engineering capabilities to ensure successful technical execution.  Ability to partner with the chief engineers, technical leads, Operations leads, Supply Chain and Quality is required. Extensive knowledge of transition to production and the ability to lead a design release into production is required. The position requires frequent interaction with all levels of Raytheon Management, internal and external customers. Ensure balance with risk conditions and constraints while advising leadership.
