About this role

Supporting the EU Production Finance team primarily across the Nordics and Netherlands — as well as other studio operational teams within Amazon Studios' rapidly-expanding EU film and TV production business — you'll be a key part of the financial backbone that keeps projects funded accurately, reported transparently, and managed with precision across multiple currencies and territories. You'll support the rhythm of production finance: helping manage cash flow, validating cost reports, and delivering the insights that keep leadership informed and projects on track. From supporting the onboarding of local accounting teams to helping navigate complex tax incentive landscapes, you'll bring clarity and consistency to a fast-moving, multi-market environment. You'll partner across Creative, Legal, Business Affairs, and external production companies to help keep payments flowing and financial issues resolved swiftly. And you won't just support the status quo — you'll actively contribute to how the team works, helping build smarter reports, streamline workflows, and codify best practices that raise the bar for production finance across the organisation. Amazon MGM Studios produces a rapidly expanding slate of original series, feature films, and documentaries across Europe, reaching Prime Video customers in over 240 countries and territories. Our EU Production Finance team operates as a small, agile group embedded across multiple markets — supporting productions from development through final cost close-out — while connecting into our global Finance and Operations infrastructure. As the content slate accelerates across established and emerging territories, this role will be central to scaling our financial operations. At Amazon, we believe that in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and innovation. While we allow flexibility for personal circumstances, we generally expect employees to work from our offices five days a week. This approach has consistently shown that spontaneous interactions, rapid problem-solving, and the energy of in-person teamwork lead to better results for our customers. In particular, our data shows that teams working together in person are more effective at making complex decisions, onboarding new team members, and fostering the kind of creative collaboration that has driven Amazon's success. The serendipitous hallway conversations and impromptu whiteboarding sessions that happen naturally in an office environment have proven invaluable to our invention process and maintaining our high bar for excellence. Key job responsibilities - Support Production Finance operations for Amazon Studios projects across EU markets, with flexibility to cover additional territories as needed. - Manage weekly cash flow and funding schedules for assigned projects in multiple currencies, ensuring spend tracks reasonably with projections and adjusting funding to avoid excess or shortfalls. - Collect, review, and validate monthly financial reporting (cost reports, General Ledger, Trial Balance) for multiple productions on a timely basis, identifying and flagging data inaccuracies. - Support the month-end close process (cash flow, costs, accruals) and gather data to populate standard financial and operational reports (MBR, month-end reports), delivering insights across multiple productions. - Onboard local production accounting teams during pre-production, ensuring compliance with Studio finance and accounting guidelines across territories. - Build and maintain excellent working relationships with external production companies. - Collaborate with internal and external partners (Creative, Business Affairs, Legal, Financial Operations, production service companies) to execute payments and resolve financial issues. - Initiate and implement process improvements — improving reports, automating workflows, and developing SOPs for production finance tasks with team support. - Understand and track production tax incentive
