The Opportunity
As the Key Account Manager , you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth, managing strategic healthcare accounts, developing strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and ensuring effective execution of commercial strategies across the assigned territory. You will play a critical role in expanding Abbott's presence within healthcare institutions, distributor networks, and key customer groups while delivering exceptional customer value.
What You'll Do
Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales and market share objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, pharmacists, hospital administrators, procurement teams, and other healthcare stakeholders. Drive demand generation and business growth for Abbott's portfolio of branded generic medicines across assigned accounts and territories. Identify new business opportunities and expand product adoption within existing and prospective accounts. Collaborate with distributors and channel partners to ensure optimal product availability and execution. Conduct regular business reviews with customers and develop account-specific growth strategies. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. Deliver scientific and product presentations to healthcare professionals and decision-makers. Analyze sales performance, market dynamics, and account potential to improve business outcomes. Manage contract discussions, tender opportunities, and account negotiations where applicable. Work closely with internal cross-functional teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver customer solutions. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Abbott's ethical standards, policies, and local regulations. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and customer records.
Requirements
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related discipline. Proven experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG sales. Strong sales, negotiation, and account management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage key customers and deliver business results. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing key accounts within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Experience working with hospitals, healthcare institutions, and distributor networks. Strong understanding of branded generic pharmaceuticals and the Philippine healthcare
