As an ETL Developer within Lincoln’s RetailIQ team, you will support the design, development, and delivery of data solutions and pipelines in a cloud environment. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining ETL processes using Python and AWS Glue to integrate data across Oracle and PostgreSQL systems. You will collaborate with analytical teams to implement data solutions, contribute to new and existing workflows, and provide post-production support. The role also includes working with APIs to ingest and expose data, supporting both batch and near real-time integrations. Working within established SDLC practices, you will help deliver reliable, scalable data integration solutions while continuing to grow your technical expertise in AWS-based data services What you'll be doing
• Participate in analysis, design, and ETL development as part of an Agile/Scrum team • Assist in implementing data mapping and data modeling techniques (e.g., normalized, star, and snowflake schemas) to support data quality and integrity • Perform technical tasks including analysis, requirements gathering, development, testing (unit and integration), and support following SDLC practices • Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, S3, and Redshift • Integrate data from external and internal systems using RESTful APIs and support API-based data ingestion and delivery • Collaborate with team members to deliver data solutions and support ongoing enhancements • Stay informed about current tools, technologies, and best practices in data engineering, and apply them when appropriate • Support process improvements within the team to increase efficiency and quality • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and help implement solutions What we’re looking for
Must-Haves: • 1–3+ years of experience in application development or ETL/data engineering roles • 1-3 + years of experience working with data warehouses, operational data stores, or data marts • Hands-on experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language (Java, .NET, etc.) • Working knowledge of relational database systems and data integrity concepts • Basic to intermediate understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical design) • Familiarity with SQL and databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL • Experience working with or consuming APIs (REST/JSON) for data integration Nice-to-Haves: • Experience working with ETL tools or frameworks (e.g., AWS Glue, Informatica, etc.) • Exposure to AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Aurora • Experience developing or integrating with APIs for data exchange (RESTful services, microservices) • Understanding of batch and/or real-time/event-driven data processing concepts • Familiarity with Big Data or NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Cassandra, Hive, etc.) • Experience supporting or developing data pipelines in a team environment Application Deadline
