THE ROLE
We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful product launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems. THE PERSON: As a Program Manager you will partner with our cross functional teams to manage project schedules and balance supply. Drive AMD component solution deliverables and alignment with product platforms to ensure highest level internal stakeholder satisfaction throughout ramp and launch of these products. Possess the sense of urgency to proactively implement creative but effective solutions with agility to timely deliver above and beyond expectations, especially on cross functional related issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Defines, plans and drives projects and qualification scheduled based on product timelines and supplier capacities and capabilities Possesses a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and can apply them effectively on small to large-sized projects In addition, you will be working with engineering and suppliers on expected capacity enablement, working with the business teams on priority setting, qual requests, and product output to improve supply. Your attention to detail and dedication to meet planning goals will be essential in this team. The Global Operations team is constantly driving process improvement. You will provide suggestions to algin capability and capacity footprint, including tools and reports. We, as a team, aspire to move the needle and make a difference. Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle Collaborates with extended teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Solid background working in the semiconductor field Detailed oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership. Collaborate in problem solving and mitigating risks- both internal and external Global Operations Management Engineering Program/Project Management Business Units Supplier/Partners Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills Ability to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team Proactively involve team members in planning, decision-making and execution efforts Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience Proficiency in using standard analytics tools (MS Office, MS Excel, MS Power BI, etc.) ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field LOCATION: Austin, TX This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-GW1 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
