As an EHS Operations Program Manager, you will drive continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations. You will independently manage the full lifecycle of programs, proactively identifying, organizing, and leading activities that drive business, operational, and technical EHS improvements. This includes addressing complex, cross-functional challenges, utilizing program management methodologies to effectively monitor and manage programs and stakeholders. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Drive EHS programs from inception to completion, ensuring total alignment with Google’s global safety and strategic goals. Identify optimizations and lead change management initiatives to enhance program performance through data-driven metrics. Define and resolve ambiguous, cross-functional problems by applying independent judgment to adapt programs in dynamic, evolving environments. Cultivate strong relationships across teams to align expectations, mitigate program risks, and communicate progress to leadership groups. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and industry trends to foster a culture of safety and continuous operational improvement.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in EHS program management, project management, or a related field. 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management, including management of EHS compliance for data centers or other industrial facilities. Experience in health, safety, and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processes. Experience with environmental regulations, safety and health protection. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. 8 years of experience in EHS program management, project management, or a related field. Knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices. Track record of successfully leading and delivering complex, cross-functional projects. Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve
