The Opportunity
This position works out of our Mexico location in SH (Structural Heart) business. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. The job purpose and scope of the Structural Heart Clinical Specialist is to support Abbott Structural Heart in TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implant) procedures. The Clinical Specialist exhibits clinical competency, ensures patient centric focus, maintains high standards on clinical outcomes, effectively manages resource allocation, and builds strong relationships and collaborates with healthcare providers and administrative executives in therapy awareness and technical/clinical development. The Clinical Specialist effectively navigates the hospital environment, participates in procedures in the cathlab and supports the Healthcare professionals during the implantation of our devices. What You’ll Do Successfully complete our internal training plan to include hemodynamics, ECG, angiography, echo & CT imaging modalities and complete the case support and proctor delegate authorizations. Provide active commercial case support, demonstrating excellence in procedural success rates & patient outcomes. Scrub in sterile and provide TAVI valve loading in procedures & training instruction to customers Provide our customers CT valve sizing analysis utilizing the Pie Medical 3Mensio CT program Lead customer didactic education sessions for account activation before first implants Lead pre case planning & debriefing of heart team pre & post procedure and provide ongoing education as requested for proper in - service levels Properly manage commercial inventory & acquisition and field trunk stock Provide documentation as required for quality assurance initiatives Co-develop commercial business plan for assigned region with Territory Manager (TM) Data entry into Salesforce, Mentor software for customer case support management Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or equivalent: MBA desirable Fluency in English and Spanish required. Minimum of 3 years of clinical roles at Medical Device/Equipment area. Experience in similar role, as an Clinical Specialist, product specialist in medical devices. Ability to travel 50%.
