Your Impact As a Technical Services Manager, you will be a vital team member responsible for leading the deployment of network, hardware, and software solutions for Axon's Fleet systems. This post-sale, customer-facing, front-line role requires efficiency in deployment, management of third-party installations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience and continued support.
What You'll Do
• Lead and coordinate Fleet installations, ensuring efficiency and a positive customer experience.
• Keep 3rd party installers and Axon customers updated on installation status through daily reports and stand-up meetings.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance, demonstrating commitment to work responsibilities.
• Deploy hardware and software solutions in a dynamic environment with minimal assistance.
• Exhibit flexibility to undertake additional projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Provide guidance to customers on optimal hardware placement, tailoring solutions to enhance workflows and ensure compliant data collection.
• Develop accurate installation diagrams and thorough documentation for implemented solutions.
• Provide administrative support for vendor setup, clearances, tracking, and maintenance of work orders
• Engage with key technology decision-makers post-sale.
• Conduct training sessions for both technical and non-technical staff on the use of Axon Fleet and Interview solutions.
• Train customer technical and non-technical staff and 12V low-voltage sub-contractors on proper installation and use of Axon hardware and software components.
Technical Acumen
• Strong experience with IP networking and connected devices, including configuration and troubleshooting across Layer 2, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve network connectivity issues involving routers, modems, gateways, access points, and edge devices.
• Solid understanding of core networking principles, including switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and physical layer infrastructure.
• Experience with remote and mobile networking technologies, such as Cradlepoint or similar solutions, is highly valued.
• Familiarity with data communications, WAN access methods, wireless technologies, and local network infrastructure in distributed or field-based environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network-connected hardware and communications systems.
• Exposure to low-voltage / 12V electrical systems is an asset, including basic wiring, DC circuit fundamentals, relays, fuses, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical or communication systems such as CAN bus, LIN bus, auxiliary battery systems, lighting, or siren integrations is considered a nice to have.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and support equipment installation or fault isolation is beneficial.
