We are looking for a talented School to Work – Logistics to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Support the efficient flow of materials, inventory, and information throughout operations, helping ensure production and logistics processes run smoothly and meet business demands. Analyze logistics and operational data using Microsoft Office tools, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential process improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and engineering personnel, to help solve real-world operational challenges. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current workflows and recommending solutions that reduce waste, improve quality, and optimize logistics performance. Assist with planning, tracking, and coordinating inventory, shipments, and operational activities to help maintain accurate records and support business objectives. Apply classroom knowledge from operations, manufacturing, logistics, or engineering coursework to practical projects that deliver measurable value to the organization. Develop reports, presentations, and documentation that provide stakeholders with clear operational insights and support data-driven decision-making. Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while building technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills that directly impact operational success and customer satisfaction.
