The following position is to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D): The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company. The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.
What You Will Do
Support the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunities Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planning Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence execution Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses Assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environment Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience Proven analytical and financial modeling skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required Qualifications We Prefer Aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sector experience Ability to take ownership of assigned projects/teams, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.) Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of concepts Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities Familiarity with financial data services (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg) Proven ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade others What We Offer: Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a
