This role provides payroll expertise to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing within the organization. It manages payroll programs and supports payroll operations by troubleshooting issues, assisting escalations, and contributing to process improvements. Success is measured by timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance adherence, and effective collaboration with internal partners. The work impacts organizational payroll integrity and supports internal clients through subject matter expertise and process optimization. ** This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and will be based in Overland Park, KS. ** Job Responsibilities : Manage payroll programs to ensure accurate payment and reporting Coordinate and execute payroll tax, garnishments, and general payroll operations to maintain compliance and operational effectiveness Lead and participate in payroll-related projects by coordinating timelines, facilitating meetings, and validating data through testing Develop and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency Collaborate with internal partners such as Legal, Accounting, and Human Resources to resolve payroll issues and support compliance Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed Education and Work Experience : Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required) 4+ years of progressive payroll experience (Preferred) Experience performing numerous functions of HR, Payroll, reporting applications, and system integrations (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Communication (Required) Confidentiality (Required) Data Analysis (Required) Documentation Maintenance (Required) Legal Compliance (Required) Operational Efficiency (Required) Payroll Administration (Required) Payroll Analysis (Required) Payroll Processing (Required) Prioritization (Required) Trend Analysis (Required) Licenses and Certifications : Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) (Preferred) At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Travel : Travel Required (Yes/No): No DOT Regulated : DOT Regulated Position (Yes/No): No Safety Sensitive Position (Yes/No): No Base Pay Range: $54,500 - $98,400 Corporate Bonus Target: 10% The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
