Responsible for developing and implementing advanced tooling solutions to enhance precious metal plating techniques. This role supports the plating department by ensuring tooling design, fabrication, and installation meet production and safety standards, while contributing to cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement advanced tooling solutions to enhance the efficiency and quality of precious metal plating processes. Monitor and manage the schedule for tooling fabrication, installation, and conditioning to ensure timely readiness for production. Analyze and provide solutions for technical challenges related to new tooling systems. Lead pilot runs of new tooling to check functionality and performance. Collaborate with other design engineers for new product design, compatibility with tooling, and least gold usage possible. Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives by optimizing plating tooling and equipment, supporting precious metal conservation and customer satisfaction. Introduce advanced tooling to apply in NPI, adopt the best design in the precious metal usage. Supervise the documentation of mechanical design drawings and related mechanical documents in order to assure the drawing being rightly used and protect company property. Organize tooling by location and maintain a well-controlled inventory of spare parts to support operational needs. Support the plating team in establishing and executing EHS management within the plating department, communicating policies and monitoring compliance. Follow the company's TEOA framework and apply TEOA tools in daily operations to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Must be knowledgeable with Pro-E, Creo, and AutoCAD software Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Computer Knowledge, MS Office etc, SAP knowledge added advantage
