Job Title UI Architect Role Summary & Role Description We are seeking a highly experienced UI Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade user interface architectures across our application portfolio. This role will be responsible for defining UI standards, design systems, front-end architecture patterns, and development best practices that enable the delivery of consistent, secure, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, Solution Architects, and Engineering teams to establish architectural direction and drive adoption of modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design Define and govern UI architecture standards, frameworks, and design patterns. Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable front-end architectures for web and mobile applications. Establish standards for component-based architectures, state management, routing, and micro-frontends. Develop reference architectures and reusable frameworks to accelerate delivery. User Experience & Design Systems Lead the architecture and governance of enterprise design systems and UI component libraries. Partner with UX teams to ensure consistency across products and platforms. Champion accessibility, usability, and responsive design standards. Technical Leadership Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across multiple delivery teams. Conduct design reviews, architecture reviews, and code quality assessments. Mentor engineers and establish front-end engineering best practices. Drive adoption of reusable components and shared technology assets. Performance, Security & Governance Define standards for performance optimisation, scalability, observability, and resilience. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Establish secure front-end development practices and governance controls. Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams to align solutions with organisational standards. Innovation Evaluate emerging front-end frameworks, tools, and technologies. Recommend modern approaches to enhance user experience and developer productivity. Promote continuous improvement and engineering excellence. Core/Must have skills 14+ years of software development experience. 5+ years in UI Architecture, Front-End Architecture, or related technical leadership roles. Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale web applications. Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and modern front-end development practices. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Required Technical Skills JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript React, Angular, Vue.js, or comparable modern UI frameworks HTML5, CSS3, SCSS Responsive and mobile-first design Design Systems and Component Libraries REST APIs and API Integration State Management Frameworks (Redux, NgRx, etc.) CI/CD and DevOps Practices Front-End Security Best Practices Performance Optimisation Good to have skills Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, Custody, or FinTech domains. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Experience with Micro-Frontend architecture. Familiarity with Figma and modern design collaboration tools. Knowledge of AI-enabled user experiences and conversational interfaces. Work Schedule Hybrid Keywords (If any) UI Architect.
