Chief of Staff

The US Healthcare & Life Sciences Chief of Staff (CoS) is a critical role that works closely with the Corporate Vice President and Leadership Team (LT). The role leads the Operating Unit (OU) Executive Office, driving leadership team operations, strategic initiatives, communications, organizational health, and execution of key business priorities. The CoS is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the LT operating rhythm, including setting up and driving key processes to get work done. The CoS will provide insight and advice to the LT around operational excellence, resource and fiscal planning, organization health & development, and contribute to strategic planning, decision-making, and execution across the organization.  The CoS will also be involved in working with the Corporate Vice President and the LT to identify and develop strategies and content to be used for team sharing, and executive reviews.           This role offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insight into the business operations, strategic priorities, and customer landscape of a large-scale organization while expanding your understanding of Microsoft’s Healthcare & Life Sciences business. Leadership Effectiveness    As the leadership team guides the business through growth, innovation, and an evolving Healthcare & Life Sciences landscape, drive the leadership operating rhythm by managing LT and extended LT priorities, agendas, decision-making processes, and communications. Serve as a trusted advisor, bring synthesized insights, strategic perspective, and sound business judgment that help inform key decisions and accelerate execution. Maximize the effectiveness of the Corporate Vice President by helping align priorities, strengthen communication, ensure engagement in the most impactful forums, and foster strong connections across the organization to advance our mission of driving better outcomes for healthcare and life sciences customers.

Development & Culture    Champion an inclusive, high-performing culture by partnering with HR and the LT to shape the team culture. Lead initiatives that strengthen team health, engagement, and belonging while fostering a workplace where employees can do their best work. Implement cross-team process improvements that enhance collaboration, employee recognition, and organizational effectiveness.      Communications    Champion the communications strategy and execution for the Corporate Vice President, ensuring messaging and engagement channels reinforce the organization's priorities, culture, and business objectives. Partner closely with the Business Manager to drive impactful internal communications across team meetings, organizational milestones, and leadership engagement moments, while helping shape executive communications and external engagement opportunities that maximize the reach and impact of the Corporate Vice President's voice. Ensure communications advance strategic priorities, strengthen organizational alignment, and further our mission to empower healthcare and life sciences organizations to achieve better outcomes through technology.     Business Management & Operational Excellence  Partner with the Corporate Vice President and leadership team to drive business planning, organizational priorities, and execution across the Healthcare & Life Sciences organization. Help define strategic objectives, key rhythms of business, success measures, and leadership governance to ensure alignment against organizational goals. Lead the development and execution of operating mechanisms, business reviews, and planning processes, bringing together
