Production Operator I

Operate injection-molding equipment to produce finished plastic components according to defined processes following quality and safety standards.

Perform initial set-up for machine operation   Operate equipment and machinery to produce parts including multi-tasking on more than one machine at a time; may perform assembly of some components; transport trays of parts to and from machines   Interpret work orders including, written, oral and Kanban cards; keep track of production counts   Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation    Inspect final components against specifications looking for small defects   to ensure quality   Perform routine maintenance on equipment including clean-up of work area   throughout and at end of shift   Support other operators as needed and may conduct on-the-job training of other operators   Weigh, pack and label produced parts for distribution to shipping,   quality   or other areas   Maintain records and conduct inventory as necessary   R otate amongst operations and   generally work   overtime as   required   Inform Supervisor of parts or equipment problems   Operate in a LEAN manufacturing environment and strive to suggest process improvements     Required Knowledge,   Skills   and Abilities     Familiar with   computer   and basic functionality     C ommunicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers   W ork effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes .   Understand other’s roles and empower one another to take responsibility to be successful .    Demonstrate   a collaborative   interaction with peers to reach a common goal.   P ay close attention to detail in all aspects of the job   M ake decisions using available resources and sound judgment    M aintain confidentiality and discretion   Open to other’s ideas and   exhibits   a willingness to try new things.   Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness;   monitor   work to ensure quality.   Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and   is able to   deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.   Follows instructions, responds to direction, and   solicits   feedback to improve.   Act in such a way to instill trust from management, other associates, as well as customers.  Acts with honesty while   assisting   customers, processing transactions, handling money, and confidential information.

High school graduate or equivalent    1 year of Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude a plus     Interested?
