Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. In this role, you will help to execute an exceptional operations, drive continuous improvement and automation efforts through tight collaboration with other regional and global Payroll leaders, as well as Human Resources, Taxes, Accounting, Treasury, and Engineering teams. You will engage with different cultures, processes, and regulations in a region with strong variety that comprises 6 countries and 8 entities today, while operating with a strong sense of teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and focus on internal and external customer. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Lead accurate, on-time payroll execution across Latin America while ensuring full compliance with complex regional regulations and internal controls. Partner with third-party payroll providers to monitor performance against Service-Level Agreements/Key Performance Indicators (SLAs/KPIs), conduct root-cause analyses, and maintain strong operational standards. Execute critical financial controls, including payment variance analysis, compliance reconciliations, audit responses, and system access management to minimize risk. Drive continuous process improvement and automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency and enhance the employee experience. Act as a payroll subject matter expert on cross-functional projects, including new country launches, regulatory changes, and new compensation or benefit programs.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Operations, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in management consulting, or an operations-related function; or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance. Preferred qualifications: Experience in process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma) with practical experience leveraging AI and automation tools to drive efficiency. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing international teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors with diplomacy. Demonstrated project management experience with meticulous attention to detail and strong execution capabilities. Ability to communicate in Spanish fluently to support client relationships in the region. Strong process operations mindset paired with exceptional investigative and problem-solving skills to optimize complex workflows. Background in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Risk/Compliance principles.
