Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. ***Provides technical support to Trades on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such coating records, metrics. Performs detailed reviews on critically coated paint records to the applicable technical work document (NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32, Drawings, Procedures,  Inspection Reports, ASTM-F718’s, Manufacturer product data sheets, etc.)  Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.  Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. Perform audits and help provide problem resolution to assist in CAR response. Review critically coated paint records to the applicable technical work document (NAVSEA Standard Item 009-32, Drawings, Procedures,  Inspection Reports, ASTM-F718’s, Manufacturer product data sheets, etc.). Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates data, such as the status of each E4749 critically coated paint record. Produces reports to aid all parties involved in the process (Trades, Subcontractors Engineering, Program, Sup ship, etc.). Identify and communicate E4749 deficiencies within paint records to assure all administrative and technical issues have been adjudicated.  Review critical coated E4749 paint records. Navigate the electronic paint record database (E4749). Interpret and understand Paint Schedules, IR’s, Quality Assurance Instructions, and Standard Shipbuilding Work Instructions. Identify technical deficiencies on E4749.  (Cure Time/HI DFT/High Mills) etc.  Possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Interacting with SOST, Trades, and Engineering on a daily basis to communicate and rectify deficiencies found within
