About this role

WHAT YOU’LL DO: CoolIT Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Test Specialist, who can lead, oversee and support the testing and qualification of Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU) systems, owning verification and validation strategies for mechanical, thermal, and fluid performance. Define test plans, support DFMEA and risk assessments, and oversee reliability and stress testing including HALT, thermal cycling, vibration, and pressure/flow evaluations. Lead instrumentation and data acquisition strategies, perform advanced statistical analysis, and translate results into actionable design improvements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to test engineers and technicians, collaborate with design, manufacturing, and reliability teams, and communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and customers. Reporting to Team Lead CDU (Test and Qualification), This role is ideal for a meticulous and technically skilled individual who thrives in a hands-on Mechanical and Electrical testing environment, is passionate about advancing liquid cooling technology   Responsibilities Develop and own test strategies, validation plans, and qualification roadmaps aligned with internal requirements and customer standards. Define test scope, configurations, acceptance criteria, and risk-based coverage for pumps, heat exchangers, PRVs, electrical, and fluid systems. Translate system requirements into structured test plans, matrices, and execution frameworks; identify test gaps, constraints, and dependencies. Conduct DFMEA-driven design reviews to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Evaluate materials, tolerances, sealing concepts, and thermal/fluid performance; ensure design-for-test (DFT) and design-for-reliability (DFR) principles are applied. Plan and oversee reliability and stress tests, including HALT, thermal cycling, pressure/flow, vibration, mechanical load, and leak testing under real-world conditions. Support test setup validation, instrumentation strategy, and data acquisition planning. Develop and apply statistical data analysis frameworks (regression, variance, trend, Weibull) for performance and reliability assessment. Perform data validation, cleansing, and normalization; convert results into actionable insights and engineering conclusions. Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation. Create, review Non-Conformance (NC) reports; review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for validation impact, risks, and test requirements. Prepare and present data-driven technical reports, dashboards, and qualification summaries; communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and customers.
