Job Title Operational Buyer Job Description Your challenge This exciting role is a great opportunity for a supply chain professional. You will have an important role in managing a set of international suppliers and balancing the correct levels of inventory to ensure product availability in the various factories in Best. Your mission is to secure material availability of components used in our Image Guided Therapy (IGT) business. You are responsible for partnering across the supply chain to ensure material availability for a defined set of suppliers while minimizing both inventory and excess & obsolete stock. Your responsibilities are to: Drives Customer Demand Fulfilment by ensuring material availability in the supply chain. Manage inventory levels to stay within agreed targets (LSL and USL) for supplier managed and owned inventory (SMI/SMOI). Place and track Purchase Orders (POs). Follow up on deliveries and monitor supplier delivery performance (VMI/CLIP). Follow up material life cycle, securing in time availability and prevention of obsolescence Inventory analysis and policy definition to secure material availability against minimum inventory investments Process rejects in the factory and ensure swift turn-around. Connect to and manage different stakeholders in the supply chain (planning, production, suppliers, R&D, etc) to ensure material availability. Prepare and support the Daily Management operating rhythm of the factory and monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings. Perform and report on supplier reviews, e.g .monthly performance review (MPR), Business Review Meeting (BRM). Excellent relationship management both internally and externally Pro-actively drive supply chain improvements. Support supplier transfer activities. Tactical forecast and handshake feedback with internal and external suppliers and DCs. Operational material planning and Purchase Order management. Identifying supply risks and issues, drive mitigation actions and escalate if needed. Master data settings to enable touchless replenishment. You are a part of You will be working in the Operational Material Management (OMM) team of Best, within Philips Health Systems. This team consists of Operational Buyers/Planners and End-Of-Life Analysts. You report into the procurement manager. You work closely together with this team, but also with other key stakeholders in other functions such as Procurement Engineers from the business unit, Supplier Account Managers, R&D experts, Supplier Quality Engineers, Quality Engineers, Warehousing Engineers, 3PL, as well as your key contacts for the many suppliers of Factory Best. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience Minimum of Bachelors degree in a relevant industrial, operational, supply chain management or business administration discipline. 2-3 years experience in similar (process industry) supply chains. Excellent analytical skills and highly proficient in excel, knowledge of SAP is a plus. Experience with a dynamic and highly technological supply chain is a plus. Self-starting, pro-active, make-it-happen mentality, don’t give up before committed task is done, able to get things done from people. End to end Ownership Detail oriented, analytic, and problem-solving skills. Can do mentality, able to challenge suppliers on the status quo. Lean experience is considered a plus. A good communicator on different organizational levels. Dutch proficiency and English is a must. . How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart.
