This position is part of Production Team located in Vista, CA and will be an on-site role. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. You will be a part of the Production Operations Team and report to the Manager, Manufacturing responsible for working to assemble scanners and related products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: • Follow written procedures and perform all steps required to assemble Aperio Digital Pathology scanners and related products. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: o Electro-mechanical assembly o Routing of cable and harness assemblies o Building of optical sub-assemblies o Visual and mechanical inspections of components and assemblies. o Installing software • Perform basic troubleshooting • Identify proper focus of optical assemblies viewing through eyepiece or on computer monitor. • Complete related paperwork The essential requirements of the job include: • High School diploma or equivalent or in lieu of High School diploma, willing to accept 2+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment. • Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Google docs). • Ability to learn and understand technical information related to our products offered. • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 lb It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: • 1+ year’s assembly experience in electromechanical production environment, ideally in medical device. • Identifying product and process issues.
