We are seeking an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer I who is ready to build foundational skills in software testing, automation, and quality processes while contributing to a collaborative engineering team. As an entry-level QA Engineer, we will seek to train and develop your skills across a variety of testing functions. Responsibilities will include: Automation & Environment Maintenance Learning fundamental automation concepts and creating or maintaining simple automated scripts. Assisting senior team members with the maintenance of test environments and test data used for automation. Analyzing script results under guidance and escalating issues when necessary. Testing & Defect Tracking Scheduling and executing assigned tests. Submitting defects for correction and retesting issues once they are resolved. Supporting the defect tracking process through to closure, which includes participating in causal analysis. Creating or assisting in the development of manual test cases and contributing to test case documentation. Reporting & Standards Reporting findings clearly and effectively. Adhering to established departmental and corporate standards to maintain consistency and quality. The salary range for this position is $48,500- $72,000. This posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range and is subject to change in the future. Individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, work schedule, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and overall business needs and affordability. This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California. What you’ll be responsible for: Learns to create and maintain basic automated scripts and gains familiarity with testing tools and concepts. Schedules and performs testing as assigned; submits errors and issues to development for correction, and retests corrected code. Tracks defects and causal analysis to closure. Reports findings clearly, effectively, and as requested. Assists more senior team members in maintaining test environments/data to be used with test automation. With guidance, analyzes script results and reports issues as requested. Follows documented departmental and corporate standards. May create or assist with creation of manual tests. Assists with test case documentation. May perform other job duties as assigned.
