About this role

Purpose of Role: An opportunity within the Enterprise Resilience Office has become available for an Assistant Vice President to support execution and continuous improvement of the firm's Impact Tolerance program across Critical Business Services (CBS). The successful candidate will initially support operational delivery of annual and cyclical Impact Tolerance activities with responsibility for designing and implementing an automated Impact Tolerance calculation framework over a period of time . This position serves as both a subject matter expert and transformation lead, ensuring the firm's Impact Tolerance methodology is executed consistently, supported by robust governance, and progressively codified into a scalable, technology-enabled solution. The successful candidate will reduce reliance on manual processes while improving the accuracy, repeatability, transparency, and auditability of Impact Tolerance assessments Major Responsibilities: Impact Tolerance Program Delivery (BAU) - Support the annual and ongoing Impact Tolerance review process across Critical Business Services. Coordinate with CBS Owners, Business SMEs, Technology, Risk, Data, and Operational Resilience stakeholders to collect and validate required inputs. Perform Impact Tolerance assessments and calculations in accordance with the firm's approved methodology. Challenge assumptions, data inputs, and outcomes to ensure consistency and integrity. Support Impact Tolerance calibration activities when material changes occur to services, volumes, business processes, or operating models. Maintain Impact Tolerance inventories, supporting documentation, assumptions, methodologies, and governance records. Produce management reporting, governance materials, and executive summaries for relevant committees and leadership forums. Monitor and track Impact Tolerance breaches, exceptions, and remediation actions. Ensure all activities are supported by appropriate evidence and are audit and regulatory examination ready. Automation & Transformation - Design and build a structured Impact Tolerance calculation model that codifies existing methodologies, business rules, assumptions, constraints, and governance requirements. Partner with Technology, Data, and Automation teams to develop scalable tooling and automated workflows. Define data requirements, sourcing strategies, validation rules, and calculation logic required for automated Impact Tolerance assessments. Reduce reliance on spreadsheets and manual interventions through systematic process automation. Create standardized calculation engines, workflows, and reporting dashboards. Implement controls that improve transparency, traceability, version control, and auditability of outcomes. Develop automated monitoring and analytics capabilities to identify trends, changes, and potential tolerance breaches. Establish a sustainable target-state framework that supports future regulatory requirements and program expansion Methodology, Governance & Continuous Improvement - Support ongoing enhancement of Impact Tolerance methodologies, standards, and procedures. Ensure consistent application of methodology across jurisdictions, legal entities, and Critical Business Services. Assess regulatory expectations and emerging industry practices relating to operational resilience and Impact Tolerance management. Develop playbooks, training materials, knowledge repositories, and process documentation. Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across Operational Resilience activities. Support internal audit, risk reviews, regulatory inquiries, and self-assessments related to Impact Tolerance governance and execution Person Specification - Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Technology, Risk Management, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline. 5-8 years of experience in Risk Management, Risk Modelling, Data Analytics, Controls, Process Improvement, or related disciplines.
