Job Purpose The Manager, Automation & Technology, Indirect Tax will lead the design, optimization, and automation of indirect tax compliance and reporting processes (VAT, soft drinks taxes, Intrastat, ESL) for CCEP legal entities. This role focuses on transforming and digitalizing ITAX processes, building sustainable and efficient compliance frameworks, and reducing manual effort through advanced analytics and automation solutions. The manager may also be responsible for ad hoc compliance activities, to help him identify and execute opportunities for optimising the compliance/reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the digital transformation of indirect tax processes, implementing automation solutions using Excel (advanced), Power BI, Alteryx, or other relevant tools. Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and well-documented indirect tax processes. Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations teams to integrate automated controls and data validations within tax-relevant processes Support maintenance of indirect tax master data in SAP and other tools, and provide guidance to Source-to-Pay, Customer-to-Cash, and other impacted teams Coach and mentor junior team members of the team, providing training as needed. Stay up to date with digital tax compliance trends and legislative changes (e.g., e-invoicing, real-time reporting). Work with Indirect Tax managers for other BUs to identify areas of best practice and process improvements. Support with ad hoc projects as required from time to time. Be knowledgeable on indirect tax compliance, filing, reporting and archiving. Key Stakeholders Internal: Group Tax, SSC teams, Procurement, BU Finance teams, HR External: External auditors, External advisors, Tax authorities (supported by BU tax lead) Experience required Proven experience in designing, implementing, and improving end-to-end tax compliance processes. Advanced experience with Excel. Hands-on experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or other data transformation / automation tools. Experience applying digital tools to оptimize and automate tax processes. Experience with SAP preferable Proven ability to connect tax knowledge with technology—i.e., translating tax requirements into scalable, automated solutions.
