About this role
About the Role
Abnormal AI is looking for a Senior Salesforce Administrator/Developer to own and operate our core Salesforce platform. This is an IT-owned platform role, not a Sales Ops or RevOps function: you are responsible for the health, security, and technical integrity of Salesforce itself, while our RevOps team owns the GTM process and data layered on top of it. You will be the principal owner of platform configuration, security, data access controls, and the third-party integrations and packages that extend Salesforce, and you'll build custom declarative and code-based solutions that let us get full value out of our Salesforce investment.
You'll partner closely with IT, Security, GRC, and RevOps to ensure the platform is well-governed, well-architected, and ready to scale as Abnormal grows toward IPO readiness.
What You'll Do
• Own end-to-end administration of Abnormal's core Salesforce platform: user provisioning, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and org-wide security posture.
• Serve as the principal owner of platform configuration: custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and Flow-based automation.
• Design, build, and maintain custom development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL) to extend the platform beyond what declarative tools alone can deliver.
• Own the integration layer between Salesforce and third-party tools and AppExchange packages, including installation, upgrades, health monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Establish and enforce Salesforce security best practices: SSO/SCIM integration patterns, IP and login restrictions, least-privilege access, and regular access audits.
• Manage the full Salesforce release lifecycle: sandbox strategy, change set or CI/CD deployment tooling, and evaluation and rollout of seasonal releases and new platform capabilities.
• Monitor platform health and performance: API limits, technical debt, orphaned automations, and system reliability, proactively remediating risk before it becomes an incident.
• Partner with IT, Security, and GRC to ensure Salesforce configuration and access controls support our SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and FedRAMP compliance obligations.
AI Forward Hiring
This role is expected to use AI as a core part of how the work gets done, not just to be aware of it. You'll evaluate and pilot Salesforce's native AI capabilities (Einstein, Agentforce) as part of the platform roadmap, and you'll use AI-assisted development tools day to day to accelerate configuration, coding, documentation, and troubleshooting. Strong candidates can point to concrete examples of using AI tools to move faster and produce more thorough, reliable work, not just experimenting with them.
Must Have Skills
• 5–8 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration and Development experience, including ownership of a production, multi-integration org
• Salesforce Administrator certification required
• Demonstrated ability to both configure declaratively (Flow, validation rules, permission sets, page layouts) and write code (Apex triggers/classes, LWC, SOQL) to extend platform capability
• Deep understanding of Salesforce security architecture: roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, SSO/SCIM patterns, and least-privilege enforcement
• Experience owning third-party integrations and AppExchange packages into and around Salesforce, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Experience with sandbox management, change sets or DevOps deployment tooling, and release management practices
Nice to Have Skills
• Salesforce Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I certification
• Experience supporting a SOC2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP compliance
