Project Senior Lead (SVP) – Wealth Lending The Project Senior Lead (SVP) is an experienced individual contributor who provides leadership, oversight and hands-on delivery and coordination of complex, cross-functional projects within the Wealth Lending business. Lending is a key part of the Wealth business, helping clients meet their lending needs across our global network. The role manages multiple project teams and requires a seasoned professional who can operate at both a strategic and executional level, ensuring alignment to business priorities, regulatory expectations, and client outcomes while driving disciplined delivery across a matrixed organization. The position is accountable for executing strategy via projects, ensuring alignment with Wealth Lending business priorities, regulatory expectations, and client outcomes. The successful candidate will lead end‑to‑end project execution, coordinate cross‑functional delivery, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery Lead end-to-end project execution, including scope definition, planning, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables aligned to Wealth Lending and enterprise strategy. Manage complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring coordination across Wealth Lending, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations. Establish and maintain structured project plans aligned to business objectives and program priorities. Identify, assess, and actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented. Drive resolution of project-level challenges, escalating where appropriate with clear recommendations. Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, validate scope, and ensure alignment to strategic objectives. Ensure delivery meets internal policy, regulatory, and control requirements, including documentation and audit readiness. Promote consistency and leverage of project management standards, tools, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in execution, governance, and delivery efficiency. Apply established Citi project management frameworks, tools, and methodologies. Execution & Cross‑Functional Coordination Own the facilitation and resolution of project issues, ensuring all stakeholder groups are aligned and project objectives remain on track Identify and manage interdependencies across initiatives, proactively addressing impacts to scope, timelines, and resources. Partner with Project Owners to ensure project scope, business cases, and cost/benefit analyses align with strategic and commercial objectives. Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to project sponsors and stakeholders. Build effective working relationships across teams and geographies. Support alignment between business requirements and delivery teams. Governance, Risk & Reporting Establish and maintain strong governance, reporting, and communication cadence, including steering committee materials and updates. Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, including risk, issue, and decision tracking. Proactively identify and escalate risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies and controls are in place. Support a strong risk and control environment aligned to enterprise policies and regulatory expectations. Delivery Discipline & Standards Enforce consistent application of project management methodologies, tools, and standards. Ensure high-quality documentation, reporting, and artifact management. Drive accountability for milestone delivery and execution discipline across teams. Promote best practices and standardization across project delivery. Demonstrate Citi values and reinforce a culture of accountability and ethical conduct. Stakeholder Engagement Build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Wealth Lending,
