Job Description
The Space & Missions Systems Segment is seeking a strategic HR business partner to support business leaders within the Engineering and Security organizations within the Space Systems division. This is an on-site position located in Colorado Springs, CO and reports to the Director, Human Resources for Core Functions. As the HR business partner, the selected candidate will be a true strategic partner in driving business results by understanding the area’s strategic plans and initiatives to provide value added recommendations.
The HR Business Partner will collaborate with leadership as well as the overall employee population. This individual will be responsible for understanding and executing on human capital objectives and needs of the business across multiple HR workstreams including staffing, leader development, compensation planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change leadership, employee engagement, inclusion, and retention. Essential Functions
• Partner directly with the Director, Human Resources and leadership team to deliver strategies to drive engagement, talent acquisition and development, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement in support of the annual operating plan (AOP)
• Build strong partnerships with leaders and employees, providing trusted counsel on organizational and employee matters
• Proactively identify challenges, diagnose root causes, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance employee engagement and drive business results
• Use metrics/analytics to drive performance and people decisions regarding employee acquisition, engagement, development, retention, and inclusion
• Collaborate with client groups to design and execute talent strategies aligned with business goals
• Drive strategic talent initiatives in acquisition, development, and succession planning, ensuring a strong pipeline of future leaders
• Coach and build leadership capabilities to address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment
• Collaborate with HR Center of Excellence, Legal, Ethics, Environmental Health & Safety, and Security
• Participate and/or lead high-impact projects across Spectral Solutions and the HR organization
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business area
• Strong business and HR acumen with proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-initiative; track record of delivering results
