Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an experienced Project Management/Principal Project Management (Data Scientist) to join our team of qualified individuals within our Program Management Office. This position will be located at Melbourne, FL. Please note this is an individual contributor role and is not a management/leadership opportunity. Please note that this opportunity is contingent on program funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation. The successful candidate is expected to be a highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams in high-tempo environments. This position will be expected to assist with reviewing status of projects and budgets, resource planning, preparing for and facilitating meetings, and supporting various administrative functions. Key Responsibilities: Support the program to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations Collaborate across functions to ensure all objectives are met Assist with monitoring cost & schedule performance, support business management meetings and reporting to program leadership Turn raw program data into timely, actionable insight that drives improved decision making and execution efficiency across the program Develop and implement data analytics tools/templates for monitoring project progress Partner with Program Managers and other key stakeholders to identify, design, and develop areas that will drive efficiency for the program Increase insight into prioritization and status of ongoing projects We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Basic Qualifications for Project Management: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience in project management OR Master’s degree Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required
