About this role

The Medical Accommodations Global Relations & Strategy Specialist is a specialized individual contributor role within Global Medical Accommodations (GMA), created to align ROW stakeholders to our global strategy, ways of working, and technology direction — while ensuring their legitimate concerns are heard, addressed, or escalated decisively. A key objective of this role is to help GMA progress toward global parity between the US and all other regions, ensuring ROW associates and business partners receive a consistent, high-quality accommodations experience. This role operates as a strategic stakeholder advocate and internal change agent — listening deeply to regional business concerns, evangelizing the global accommodations mission, having backbone when stakeholder requests conflict with global strategy, and bridging divides where local legal requirements demand differentiation. The specialist owns the overarching program direction and strategy for ROW stakeholder alignment, but executes through partnership with the Global Parity & People Accessibility Leader, SME/ACES teams, Technology, and others as required. Key job responsibilities Stakeholder Advocacy & Strategic Alignment Serve as the primary point of alignment between ROW stakeholders and GAA's global strategy, building deep understanding of regional business concerns while driving adoption of global ways of working and technology direction. Evangelize the global accommodations mission and technology strategy to ROW stakeholders, building understanding and buy-in for the direction even when it challenges local preferences or established practices. Exercise backbone: where stakeholder concerns conflict with global strategy and are not legally required, push back respectfully, bring stakeholders on board with the rationale, or escalate with a clear recommendation. Where stakeholder concerns are valid — aligned to global policy or driven by local legal requirements — identify gaps and partner with the Global Parity & People Accessibility Leader to ensure they are addressed through the Global Parity program or technology roadmap. Identify and surface emerging stakeholder concerns proactively (e.g., self-service models driving unintended volume in EU markets, insufficient medical documentation friction creating compliance risk), working with relevant teams to close gaps before they escalate. Treat stakeholders as customers: understand their needs, close the loop on their concerns, and drive accountability for resolution. Propose and implement mechanisms to measure stakeholder satisfaction — addressing the current gap where manager and business partner experience with accommodation services is not systematically captured. Provide structured, data-backed updates to stakeholders on initiatives and concerns they have raised — keeping them informed, engaged, building trust through transparency and follow-through. Service Adoption & Awareness Develop and drive a global strategy to increase adoption of GMA services across ROW countries. Partner with country operations and HR teams to understand barriers to service utilization, and work with relevant teams to remove friction and increase awareness. Track adoption metrics by country and region, surfacing gaps and recommending targeted interventions to close them. Program Ownership & Cross-Functional Execution Own the overarching ROW stakeholder alignment program and strategic direction, executing through partnership with the Global Parity & People Accessibility Leader, SME/ACES, Ops Center of Excellence, business policy/standard work teams, Technology, Legal, and Expansions. Partner with the Global Parity & People Accessibility Leader to ensure ROW stakeholder needs inform parity priorities. Validate that parity deliverables address field concerns and drive stakeholder adoption of implemented solutions. This role does not own the Global Parity program — it serves as the voice of ROW stakeholders into that program.
