About the role ( Strong expertise in chiller design and system engineering (refrigeration cycle, heat exchangers, compressors, hydronics ) JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Strong expertise in chiller design and system engineering (refrigeration cycle, heat exchangers, compressors, hydronics) Hands-on experience in chiller performance testing, FAT/FWT, qualification, and troubleshooting Proficiency in engineering calculations (thermal performance, pressure drop, load matching, component sizing) Experience in ETO design and customization based on customer requirements Solid understanding of hydronic system design (pump selection , piping, flow balancing) Strong knowledge of industry standards (AHRI, ASME, PED, IS) Experience in design validation, root cause analysis (RCA), and failure analysis Working knowledge of DFMEA, SFMEA, RRCA, and structured design review processes Strong capability in technical issue resolution during testing, validation, and field support Good understanding of customer technical submittals (P&IDs, performance data, documentation) Effective cross-functional coordination and technical leadership in ETO projects Key Responsibilities: Perform chiller performance testing, qualification and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and controls during validation and field issues. Drive system-level engineering design, covering refrigeration cycle, hydronics and overall system integration Perform advanced engineering calculations and simulations (thermal performance, pressure drop, load matching, component sizing) to ensure system performance meets mission-critical reliability expectations Lead technical risk identification and mitigation through DFMEA, SFMEA, RRCA, design reviews, and failure analysis Analyze customer specifications and translate them into customized chiller configurations (capacity, ambient conditions, redundancy, efficiency targets) Design and validate hydronic systems, including pump selection , piping layout, pressure drop calculations, and integration of hydronic modules Support customer technical submittals, including P&IDs, performance data, and resolve engineering queries during project execution Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes (AHRI, ASME, PED, IS, internal design guidelines) Act as the technical lead for ETO chiller projects, driving end-to-end execution while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and specifications. Analyze test data and correlate with design predictions, driving root cause analysis and design improvements for any performance gaps Lead issue resolution during testing, including troubleshooting of refrigeration circuit, control issues, oil management, and system tuning Requirements Experience in mission-critical applications (high reliability, redundancy concepts) Exposure to advanced chiller testing scenarios (part load, extreme ambient, restart, vibration, noise)
