Key job responsibilities Design and deliver complex features for Silk browser and WebView across multimodal and TV devices, driving end-to-end ownership from architecture to launch. Lead Chromium upleveling and platform migrations, ensuring compatibility and performance across Fire OS and Vega OS platforms. Own build system improvements and release infrastructure to improve developer productivity and release velocity for the team. Drive operational excellence — including security patch releases, crash rate reduction, and production health monitoring across device families. Mentor and grow junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing to raise the overall bar of the team. A day in the life As a Senior SDE in the Silk Browser team, you will dive deep into Chromium internals to solve complex rendering and performance challenges across Fire TV and multimodal devices, collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to understand customer needs and unblock cross-functional dependencies, and architect scalable solutions that work across multiple device families and OS versions. You'll spend time reviewing code from teammates, driving technical decisions that balance long-term code health with near-term delivery, and shipping features that reach millions of users.
