KPMG is currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Accounting Methods and Credits Services (AMCS) to join our Business Tax Services practice. Responsibilities: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting services, including leading client interviews and discussions, performing tax technical research, and developing business and industry expertise Assistance on federal tax consulting services including accounting method assessments, design and implementation of projects related to revenue and expense recognition, capitalized items, fixed assets, and inventories Communicate directly with client personnel, including operations, finance, accounting, and engineering Manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering and coordination of KPMG and client resources Assist with drafting opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, IRS ruling requests and writing other technical memoranda Develop and sustain excellent client relationships and assist in business development effort Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager: Engage in an active role in new business development, including add-on business Qualifications: Minimum five years of recent experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, including experience in accounting methods and credit services Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access; experience performing internet research Ability to travel and work at client locations Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager: Minimum eight years years of recent experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience, including experience in accounting methods and credit services Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members KPMG LLP and its subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
