We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and precise Engineering Drafter to translate concepts and sketches from engineers into comprehensive, buildable technical drawings, and blueprints. You will utilize CAD and 3D modeling software to create simple geometric CAD shapes, complex surfaces, and combine them into large assemblies. You will create part and assembly drawings that will meet industry and regulatory standards.
What You Will Do
Generate engineering drawings for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations using SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc. in compliance with standard engineering drawing practices and dimensional tolerancing. Determine scaling, reference datums, center and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning while creating drawings. Convert initial engineering designs and redline markups into precise 2D schematics and 3D models. Process drawings through configuration, classification, and approvals. Work with engineers to produce drawings for vendor quotes and customer approvals.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field. CAD experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance after day 1.

We Prefer: Knowledge of composite tools and parts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a prototype- oriented environment.
