Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) Position Description The Material Driver under general supervision, distributes either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods. This position is expected to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the needs of the Materials and production or other departments. Tasks will vary by work area and work assignments will change based on business demands, routine Job rotations will be required to support the Safety, Quality and Productivity Objectives The position is expected to perform the specified job duties within the allotted time, within the quality standards and prescribed methods. Essential Job Functions Moves goods and material within a production environment using a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Loading, unloading, or moving goods and material from one location to another with a forklift or other PIV Works on a PIV, operates warehouse computer software with moderate expertise. Education, Experience & Skills High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous warehouse experience is a plus Ability to obtain forklift certification 6mon-1year forklift experience High school diploma 18 years or older Safety training Vehicle Training Physical Requirements Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.
