Type: Full time, Permanent Wage: $22.00 + $2.00 Shift Differential Shifts: Friday - Saturday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm & Sunday - Monday 5:00 pm to 3:30 am Location: Caledon, ON Why Ryder? Essential Functions Make sure that all merchandise is processed in a timely manner and within workplace guidelines Process and prepare paperwork for shipping/receiving (inbound and outbound) Perform detailed paperwork to be entered into the inventory system Ensure that all safety procedures are followed Provide excellent customer service Liaison between warehouse department and customer Wave all orders for daily production Ensure all rush orders from customer are waved and shipped Run inbound priority report Be backup for inbound and yard dispatch Supply customer with daily operational reports Work closely with customer on product allocation Assist on special reports for location managers as well as customer Train and develop staff on SAP, as well as trouble shoot system issues Control all diversion of containers for customer warehouses Analyze inventory for possible transfers Back up to customer allocation and transportation management Analysis of space capability and volumes Create and post transfer loads for Customer Run inbound priority list Ensure the Ryder Yard Management System is up to date and looking at ways to improve our process Analyze fill rate and report back to customer for all outbound orders Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Experience in freight, shipping and or receiving High energy and highly-motivated individual with strong customer focus Qualifications College degree/Technical Certification preferred in business, logistics supply chain, transportation or related program H.S. diploma/GED required One (1) year or more related warehouse, dispatch, customer service or administrative experience required One (1) year or more Logistics, Customs and/or Supply Chain Management program or relevant experience required Travel None DOT Regulated No #LI-VP Job Category Logistics This posting is for an existing vacancy.
