About this role

POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and associated infrastructure throughout the property. The role supports the Engineering Department by ensuring all electrical assets operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards while maintaining guest comfort, operational continuity, and a safe working environment. This role has 4 vacant positions available. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES I. Electrical Systems Maintenance

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components throughout the property. Conduct routine inspections of electrical distribution systems, switchboards, transformers, generators, lighting systems, power outlets, and associated equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical faults, equipment failures, and power distribution issues. Maintain and service guest room, public area, kitchen, laundry, back-of-house, and exterior electrical systems. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Monitor and maintain emergency lighting, backup power systems, and standby generators. Support refurbishment, renovation, and engineering projects as required. Assist with installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.

II. Work Orders & Inventory

Respond to electrical maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Monitor and maintain inventory of electrical spare parts, tools, testing equipment, and maintenance supplies. Order and manage materials through approved purchasing processes. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and compliance records. Ensure all work orders are completed and documented in a timely manner.

III. Guest Service & Teamwork

Maintain positive relationships with guests and associates. Minimize disruption to hotel operations while carrying out maintenance work. Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs and projects. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times. Support operational requirements during emergencies, power outages, and equipment breakdowns. Assist other Engineering team members with general maintenance activities when required.

IV. Safety & Compliance

Follow company safety, security, and maintenance procedures at all times. Ensure safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Conduct routine safety inspections, testing, and operational checks of electrical equipment and systems. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices when carrying out electrical work. Report hazards, accidents, near misses, and equipment malfunctions promptly. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, electrical regulations, and company policies. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company standards. Ensure all electrical work is performed within the scope of the technician’s electrical license and legal requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Valid Electrical Technician License recognized in Fiji. Trade Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related trade. Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical
