AMD’s Embedded Business is part of AECG (Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group).   Product line program management requires you to drive the execution of entire product stack where different deliverables are coming from different engineering teams/functions across AMD. Success of the program will be defined as meeting or beating the scope, schedule and spend of the program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strong oversight and guidance to all the program managers for different product line programs and drive to sort out any dependencies or other bottlenecks in those programs. Make sure the programs follow their execution metrics and any changes are tackled with agility and quick planning. Coordinate and drive the concept, feasibility and planning exit milestones with the full ownership of securing right approvals from the senior management on those gate reviews. Drive key initiatives for the BU level challenges like yield improvements, improving DPPMs and adoption of methodologies like ASPICE. As part of the program execution, prepare end-to-end plan starting with the NPI phases for planning, execution and then post-NPI phases of derivative programs. Craft and deploy lightweight processes for strong rigor/discipline to constantly uplevel the execution focus and efficiency. Lead and drive these process adoptions across the overall program management org. Manage and handle escalations with a sense of urgency and proactive problem solving. Prepare and present program status reports to executive and highlighting risks, data for pros cons analysis of decision making. Drive cross functional alignment among different teams including the other program managers. Share best practices with other product program management organizations.
