Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Installation) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Ladson, SC . The manufacturing engineer will be an integral member of the Propulsion South Carolina team, providing production engineering support to multiple programs, projects and components. Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for Associate (Level 2), Mid-level (Level 3), or Senior (Level 4) Manufacturing Engineers to join our Production Engineering organization supporting Propulsion South Carolina in beautiful Ladson, SC.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies. Participate in Integrated Built Teams (IBTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build. Lead and implement build plan definition. Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements. Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices. Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule. Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts. Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implement lean principles and technologies This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/ Experience): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): ( Mid-Level ) 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience ( Senior ) 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 2+ years of engineering experience related to developing and implementing build plans, production tools and methodologies. Experience in production support through root cause corrective action, technical problem solving and continuous improvement. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a diverse and demanding work environment and schedule.
