Job Title: Sr Spec, IT Architecture; Developer - .NET and Agentic Coding Job Code: 41904 Job Location: (On Site) Melbourne, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Senior Specialist, IT Architecture is part of the Enterprise Services and Strategy – Value Optimization Organization. This role has strong experience in .NET application development and familiarity with agentic coding workflows and AI-assisted software development tools. This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining business applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, APIs, and modern software engineering practices. The ideal candidate will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including feature development, system integration, defect resolution, code review, test automation, and production support. This individual should be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants and agentic development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and streamline documentation, while consistently applying sound engineering judgment, secure coding principles, and maintainable design practices. Experience working with financial data and familiarity with GAAP concepts is preferred. Essential Functions: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain business applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies. Build and support web applications, backend services, and RESTful APIs to enable business processes and system integrations. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product owners, operations teams, DevOps engineers, and other developers to define and deliver technical solutions. Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to generate, refactor, test, and document code while ensuring outputs meet engineering, security, and quality standards. Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with development standards and best practices. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests to ensure application quality and reliability. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and production incidents. Integrate applications with SQL databases, third-party systems, and external services. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement efforts across the development team. Support CI/CD pipelines, source control processes, and release management activities using Git-based workflows. Contribute to technical documentation including design specifications, support procedures, and implementation guidance. Apply sound engineering judgment when using AI-generated code and ensure compliance with enterprise development, security, and governance standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Preferred
