The Facilities Management Mechanical Systems Lead is responsible for ensuring reliable, code-compliant, and energy-efficient operation of mechanical systems across the Gurabo campus. This role leads and serves as technical owner for mechanical design review and sustaining activities focused on facilities and utility systems: preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, commissioning activities, and capital project support while partnering with operations, safety, and business stakeholders to support uptime, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Own replacement and reliability strategy for critical mechanical utility systems, including HVAC, chilled water, hot water/steam, domestic water, and compressed air, in partnership with site service providers and department standards. Lead mechanical systems technical oversight for reliability-centered maintenance, failure-elimination, and asset performance initiatives to improve equipment reliability, availability, maintainability, and asset life. Analyze KPIs, system performance trends, capacity constraints, and energy consumption to reduce unplanned maintenance and identify optimization opportunities. Serve as the technical engineering lead for site utility systems, ensuring reliable GMP and non-GMP infrastructure operation and alignment with business growth needs. Provide engineering oversight for system upgrades, modifications, technical specifications, design reviews, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness. Lead complex root cause investigations for utility and infrastructure failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring failure modes. Drive continuous improvement projects that strengthen system robustness, maintenance effectiveness, operational performance, and risk reduction. Support change controls, investigations, CAPAs, deviations, quality events, audits, and inspections as an engineering assessor, executor, and technical representative. Ensure engineering documentation, designs, and system changes comply with GMP, EHS, ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, and applicable local code requirements. Partner with FM Operations, contractors, and service providers on maintenance strategies, CMMS work plans, troubleshooting, procurement, scope development, execution oversight, and closeout verification.
