What will you do as Electrical Engineer Controls & Projects at Sealed Air?
You will play a key role in executing global engineering projects by leading the electrical and controls scope of proprietary equipment initiatives. This role focuses on designing, validating, and commissioning electrical and control systems that enhance manufacturing capabilities, support new technology deployment, and ensure safe, reliable production environments. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions across multiple sites. Why do we need you?
Lead the electrical and controls scope for proprietary equipment projects, ensuring proper integration into production environments Develop and validate electrical designs, schematics, IO lists, and control logic for system upgrades and new technologies Support procurement, panel fabrication, wiring installation, system integration, and commissioning activities Plan and execute FAT and SAT testing to verify system functionality, safety, and performance Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues during installation and start-up Evaluate and test new electrical and controls technologies in lab environments Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to align technical requirements and delivery timelines Manage risks, maintain technical documentation, and provide clear project updates throughout execution Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Hands-on experience designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems (PLCs, HMIs, IO) Experience developing and modifying electrical drawings using 2D/3D CAD tools (EPLAN, DraftSight or similar) Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC Experience working with industrial networks and automation architectures Ability to analyze complex electrical and control system issues and drive effective solutions Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and global
