About this role
At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
We are looking for a hands-on applied AI lead to build on that foundation and help take Lyft Marketing into its next phase of AI transformation. This role will sit directly within the Marketing organization and partner closely with Creative, Growth, Brand, Media, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Legal, IT, Security, and external agency partners to identify high-impact opportunities, build practical AI-powered solutions, and embed new ways of working across the team.
The ideal candidate is both a builder and an operator. They can understand complex marketing workflows, identify where AI and automation can reduce friction, and then design, prototype, launch, and scale solutions that teams actually adopt. This person should be comfortable working across tools, systems, and stakeholders, while also rolling up their sleeves to build internal AI agents, automations, templates, playbooks, and enablement materials.
Success in this role will be measured by the quality, adoption, and business impact of the AI solutions delivered, including time saved, reduction in manual work, improved creative and campaign throughput, increased reuse of workflows and templates, and stronger AI capability across the Marketing organization.
Responsibilities
• Applied AI Strategy & Solutioning for Marketing
• Build on Lyft Marketing’s existing AI foundation by identifying the next wave of high-impact AI and automation opportunities across Creative, Growth, Brand, Media, Product Marketing, and Marketing Operations.
• Partner with marketing teams to evaluate manual, repetitive, or inefficient workflows and determine where AI tools, agents, automations, or process redesign can improve speed, quality, and scalability.
• Translate marketing needs into clear problem statements, success metrics, workflows, and solution requirements before moving into build and implementation.
• Serve as the embedded AI expert for Marketing, helping teams understand what is possible, what is practical, and where AI can create real operational leverage.
• Hands-On Building & Implementation
• Design, prototype, and launch internal AI-powered tools, agents, automations, and workflows that support marketing use cases such as campaign planning, creative briefs, research, asset production, localization, QA, reporting, intake, and launch readiness.
• Integrate AI workflows into the tools and systems Marketing already uses, such as project management platforms, creative tools, DAMs, collaboration tools, data analytics systems, and automation platforms.
• Create scalable templates, prompt systems, reusable workflows, and internal playbooks that allow teams to move faster while maintaining brand, legal, and operational standards.
• Work closely with IT, Security, Legal, and Data teams to ensure AI workflows are secure, compliant, and aligned with Lyft’s internal policies.
• Democratize data access needs for Marketers through integrations.
• Marketing Enablement & Adoption
• Lead AI enablement for the Marketing organization through hands-on training, team workshops, office hours, documentation, and practical “how-to” guides.
• Help teams adopt GenAI-first ways of working by pairing directly with marketers, creatives, operators, and agency partners on real workflows.
• Drive measurable adoption of AI tools and workflows by tracking usage, time savings, quality improvements, team feedback, and reuse across marketing functions.
• Build confidence and capability across the organization so more marketing team members can safely and effectively use AI in
