Maintenance Job Role Description
Responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Maintenance Department. They are responsible for material acquisition and inventory control, implementing Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS) practices as directed by the Maintenance Manager. What will you do? a) Identify material needs, source all required materials and services, and initiate procurement b) Assist Maintenance First Line Supervisor and Maintenance Planner in scheduling and execution activities with focus on SSH&E and other regulatory compliance requirements c) Obtain return authorizations, purchase order number assignment, packaging, and shipping arrangements for material returns, and repair / exchange items d) Update daily work order confirmation based upon the status from the Maintenance First Line Supervisor e) Assist with daily work order and material coordination and ensure job packs are ready for work plan execution f) Conduct department material and contract invoice reconciliation, to include material receipt verification g) Take an active role in overall responsibility for the effectiveness of controls within their scope of responsibility About You | Skills & Qualifications Higher National Certificate (HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Offshore/Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, Metallurgy, Petroleum Engineering (with integrity background). A BSc in engineering or related sciences without a HND diploma is acceptable IF there is already established and verifiable working experience as a maintenance personnel in in the oil and gas industry for at least 5 years. Note however that this is strictly a technician role. Minimum 5 years relevant maintenance execution work experience The candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of Oil & gas operations, associated risks, producing equipment and associated criticality. Versatile with basic Work Management Practices, and CMMS (SAP) to raise notifications, manage workorders, and search for materials Experience 1. Previous offshore or FPSO experience preferred 2. Good understanding and Interpretation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Electrical, Instrumentation and Control logic Diagrams, Instrumentation / Mechanical and Hands-On Skills: basic understanding and ability to perform minor repairs, routine maintenance, and adjustments on equipment; ability to read and interpret transmitters, sensors, gauges, and control valves; familiarity with ESD, Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, and their role in process safety 4. Good attention to Detail. Ability to observe and detect abnormalities and understanding what next to do; maintain accurate logs and reports; ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
