Systems Operations Engineer

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer. In this role, you will: Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services. Identify opportunity for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans. Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supporting low to medium risk technical deliverables. Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries. Exercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standards. Work as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes. Provide information related to supported system area to functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal customers.

2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Provides support for moderately complex technical OS and Hardware Support and Maintenance Activities. Prior experience of handling production support , handling Linux systems is a must. Good understanding of writing Ansible playbooks to simply day to day systems administration work. Develop observability dashboard like Grafana , Splunk & ServiceNow. Troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues using pre-defined guidelines. Knowledge on Infrastructure and Remote Administration of various Infrastructure Devices Familiar with ticketing and Monitoring tools and Acknowledging the Alerts in time. Familiar with Different Components of Infrastructure like Routers, Switches, Servers, SAN and NAS Devices. Familiar with Infrastructure Service Management Processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management). Knowledge or Certification in any of the OS Platform Able to extract the configuration information and Use basic diagnostic tools with Guidance for troubleshooting.    Ability to Communicate and Co-ordinate with multiple support teams and business communications. Ability to make quick and accurate decisions, including the appropriate escalation of critical issues. Job Expectations: Understand Process and Environments working closely with other senior team members. Develop Skills in Specific domain with help of self paced, Instructor led training and mentoring from team members. Technical Support and Working Experience in any of Infrastructure Domain.
