The AEGIS program at Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with detailed knowledge of HPC (High-Performance Computing) architecture with Windows/Linux environments who will provide support for Engineering projects at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The applicant will interface with MSFC system admins, engineers and architects in supporting HPC and other computing and storage platforms. The applicant will be responsible for security architecture of the related systems and associated systems software.
Primary Responsibilities
Review and enhance architecture of HPC Windows/Linux landscape, processing and jobs. Provide core Windows and Linux systems administration support for MSFC IT resources and laboratory environments. Develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain security compliance, including vulnerability mitigation, system hardening, and log collection/analysis. Specify solutions to replace end-of-life (EOL) operating systems and aged physical systems. Maintain and modernize virtualization and containerization platforms. Provide analysis related to the design, development, and integration of replacement systems, hardware, software and/or operating systems. Utilize software solutions to perform continuous monitoring of compute and storage systems. Development and documentation of “Best Practices” for the MSFC userbase. Testing new application releases. Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices for HPC and Artificial Intelligence systems. Specify and deploy tools for fair use and scheduling of HPC resources Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments and systems management. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with engineers, designers, programmers, and other technical stakeholders. Ability to read, interpret, and understand system architecture and technical drawings. This position requires onsite support at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

SDA (software defined access) architectural principles, integration dependencies, and solution mapping. Ansys HPS. Cohesity data integrity with cloud archiving. Nutanix AHV virtualization.
