Senior WHS Program Manager, EU WHS Programs Team

EU WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) Programs team is seeking a WHS Manager Program Manager to lead critical Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) programs across the European Union. You'll spearhead high-visibility initiatives like expanding our ISO45001 program while developing end-to-end solutions that protect our teams and shape operational excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple business units, influence safety standards globally, and make a tangible impact on thousands of employees' wellbeing. Cross-team coordination, project management, and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential. To work effectively in the role, the candidate would be required to develop a deep understanding of the organization’s commitment to serving the associates, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the organization in order to solve complex business problems and implement fit-for-purpose programs to deliver the highest standards. The successful candidate is also one that has a record of accomplishment delivering success in high performing business organizations, and one who has program management experience. An ideal candidate has a background in WHS, and is willing to apply their knowledge to new fields. By leveraging lean principles and Kaizan’s, the candidate will lead continuous projects as well as improvement initiatives. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and data analysis. This job will also require the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. This job will require exceptional communication and influencing skills with Business, Operations, and Tech stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex logistics challenges and possess a bias for action to get things done and deliver results Intra-Europe "international" relocation is only approved and not Trans-oceanic relocation for both Internal and External Candidates. Key job responsibilities - Lead and deliver medium to large cross-functional safety programs that serve major business areas across the EU and potentially globally, managing the full program lifecycle with measurable success criteria - Develop, review, approve and improve internal WHS policies and procedures ensuring compliance with country-specific legal requirements and Amazon Global Standards - Drive standardization of WHS programs and best practices at both Regional and Global levels, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives - Implement and track WHS program execution across field operations, regularly reviewing metrics and proactively seeking improved mechanisms for visibility into program health - Recommend and drive improvements to program scoping, building, testing and deployment processes, using data-driven insights to identify risks and optimize outcomes across the company About the team The End-to-End EU WHS Programs team is dedicated to creating safer workplaces across Amazon's European operations.
