Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Rail Systems BIM Modeller with experience and abilities in Bentley Systems software tools, to join our experienced and successful Rail Systems Team based in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office in Madrid. In the Rail Systems department we develop international (USA, UK, Canada, Australia...) projects mainly in the rail sector and in particular to rail systems such as traction power substations, power distribution systems, catenary system, telecommunications, signaling, etc. Furthermore, we develop other projects not directly related to the rail market, for instance, installation design in stations, technical buildings or warehouses. The capacities of the team and the work we develop cover all design phases of a Project. Depending on the Project, our scopes go from initial phases to detailed design and/or design & built. We also provide support in the construction phase, as-builts and feasibility studies. The team is formed by engineers with extensive experience in rail and multidisciplinary skills. We have also in the team some BIM Modellers on the team with capacities on Revit, Bentley and AutoCAD. We are looking for a Railway Systems BIM Modeller, with a solid base in Bentley software to support the team on those projects that demand that type of software, mainly coming from the USA and UK. Apart from that, we would preferably want the candidate to also have capacities on other platforms such as Revit. The candidate should have experience in installations such as MEP installations, communications equipment, catenary, signalling, cable routing, etc, but it is not a must that they need to be related to rail systems. Here is what you will do: Support the engineering team, facilitating the understanding of the Project installations and the detection and resolution of interfaces. Create models from scratch in BIM, geolocalised, including Project parameters and Shared parameters, linking models of other disciplines, monitoring levels and grids of linked models like architecture and creating worksets. Create and manage parametric families related to the Rail System: conduits, cable tray, duct, electrical equipment, electrical fixtures, mechanical equipment, communication devices, etc. Create drawings using view templates, filters, titleblocks, sheet lists and print them under the project standards. Attend meetings with the BIM team of the project to agree on the quality and deliveries, analyse the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and implement it in the engineering team in Madrid. Attend periodic meetings of Clash detection and BIM Coordination of the project, with the rest of BIM coordinators of the other disciplines. Go with and participate with the engineering team in the design submissions as
